I worked closely with global design studio Checkland Kindleysides to build out a case study for their brand design work on Keflavík Airport's new duty free brand, Ísland Duty Free.
Working with a carefully crafted suit of custom brand assets, I helped bring the brand to life by developing a motion design language that further emphasised the ideas contained within the brand design. To do this, we focussed on the crystalline forms of the design work and the close association with Iceland’s dramatic and awe-inspiring landscapes.

A key asset was the brand’s bespoke, hand-cut typeface. The letterforms had been designed with both air travel and the idiosyncrasies of Icelandic orthography in mind. We needed to develop a motion language that complimented the letterforms while echoing the influence of Iceland’s natural environment.
